SUNday mornings

Class time is 8:30am on Sunday mornings beginning in May. Class length is 1 hour. $10 per class. Students may arrive early to ask questions or get a brief tutoring for first timers.

I’m a Gen-Xer and had the privilege of growing up in a time where people went to other people’s houses to learn to swim or take ballet in their home made studio or do arts and crafts. There was a sense of connection & community that I want to see more of in this world, so I started this class in 2020 on my very large concrete terrace at my home and this will be our 5th summer. The practice is what I like to call accessible asana. Anyone can join in and no one will be made to feel left out. The focus of the class is awakening and opening the body from sleep, working on coordination, strength, proprioception and a little bit of intensity to get a sweat.

We have the added bonus of fresh breezes, sunlight from the source, a chorus of birds and squirrels squirrels squirrels. And every single time I teach this class I am reminded that yoga is meant for the outdoors.

1/1 Longevity coaching

Imagine you could learn to make consistent daily choices around the value of your health and life that you could use for the rest of your days. No gimmicks, no one formula for everyone. No BS.

Longevity training is just that, I work with clients on a weekly basis to essentially write your own owner’s manual. Because every human is unique, it’s called bio-individuality. Our health needs are different as well as our barriers to achieving it. We will not only address daily movement practice, but all the levers of health to create harmony in your body.

The simplest definition of health that I feel we have lost sight of is to be able to see ourselves, to feel safe in our body, and to understand that we are meant to consistently learn, grow and change as a human being. Mostly, I want to help you wake up feeling good on as many days as possible.

Pop Up event with Waxman Candles

On Sunday, May 4th from 6-8pm, I am partnering with Waxman Candles, one of my favorite small businesses in Lawrence KS, to do a one of kind pop up event. I have been a patron and fan of Waxman ever since I attended KU and by that, I mean years. We will be making candles!!! AND then moving our bodies in a 45 minute class. The focus of this class is to resynchronize the mind and body through breath and movement after a busy week/weekend. My hope is always that you find your way home to yourself through movement. This class is for anyone who is curious about yoga and those who have practiced for years. Event fee is $30. Please bring your mat, your block and water bottle. If you have any questions, please email me or DM me on Instagram. We look forward to meeting you there!!

SUNset candle Lit class

This class will begin in late May. Class length is 45 minutes. $10 per class. Dates/time will be posted mid-May.

Have you ever practiced yoga on your mat on top of warm concrete after a long day at work? It is the most singular soothing way to wind down your evening. Add in some fireflies in the mid-summer and a cicada orchestra later on with warm fresh air and you get to experience kind of heaven that only exists outdoors.

This class is designed to relieve the compression of your day in the body and mind as well as soothing your nervous system to help you sleep well. Class begins with a vigorous pace and winds down to a deep Shavasana.
